Staff Conference - Moodle

I booked myself onto the Moodle session for this morning.  No-one else turned up so I had Rchard to myself (well you know what I mean).  I had a chance to ask questions of what I wanted to know.

Basically I wanted to have a refresher, working with Moodle and familarising myself for when students login to moodle and want enrolement keys etc.

We get told of all these things and expect to remember everything.  There is is only so much my poor head can take.  If I dont use it often I forget, so I find these things should be refreshed at the begining of term.

Back to basic

Going back for my first post where i've put my post of what I enjoy.  Well it doesn't involve comupters or any sort of complicated machinery.

I love to be in the kitchen, out of  everyones way and I find it very theraputic.

I enjoy baking, cake decorating, cooking curries but dont't like making deserts.
I have even booked myself in for a 2hr 30min session for cup cake decorating course, its next Weds evening in Nottingham, yes Nottingham.

I also enjoy entertaining so I can cook different sorts of dishes.

I would of loved to do this as my main career but never have had any back up from my husband.  Evenually would like to publish my own cook book.

Funny thing is that I don't enjoy eating my own food, but if someone else cooks I eat like a pig.

cpd23 thing 4

Twitter and pushnote, it has been blocked firewall at work so cannot use it.  This is because at work it is distracting.

Don't want to use it at home, don't want to be bogged down with more and more social networking.  Their comes a stage where something has to be stopped and there's has to be a limit.

My children hardly use facebook but my daughter is always clicking away texting and its so annoying.  I'd rather keep an online distance from my children so it doesn't infringe on real life relationship.  As it is i'm always on her back when she's clicking away and we are always having an argument regarding this.

cpd23 thing 3

Personal Branding - well, found it difficult to understand when reading the blurb. I found it intimidating and confusing.  Got the Systems Librarian to explain it to me (idiots guide) much easier!!  she's a whizz at it.

Anyway my "Personnal Branding" describes my personality and reflect on myself by just reading my cpd23 thing 1.

Chose my background, it shows i'm calm and its not too busy, and because i love flowers and gardening.
